Breaking Down Barriers for Alabama’s Women
Women’s Foundation of Alabama publicly launched Watershed, a capital campaign focused on moving 10,000 women into the workforce and on the path to economic mobility by 2027. In order to do this, Watershed focuses on three streams of impact: Solidifying our organizational infrastructure, grantmaking, and advocacy + awareness.
Investing
$1,200,000 in 40+ organizations across the state and expanded our grantmaking infrastructure statewide with the launch of community-led giving circles.
Producing
the state’s first-ever study on the economic impact of women – Clearing the Path – a landmark report that now serves as a policy roadmap for business, government and leaders.
Shaping
women-focused policy alongside hundreds of volunteers, donors, and supporters, securing four significant victories in the Alabama legislature.
