Olympic Champion Allyson Felix to Headline Women’s Foundation of Alabama’s Annual Unleashed Fundraiser, Presented by Uniti

BIRMINGHAM, AL — [Monday, October 13, 2025] — The Women’s Foundation of Alabama (WFA) is thrilled to announce that Allyson Felix, the most decorated U.S. track and field Olympian, entrepreneur, and gender equity advocate, will headline Unleashed 2025, presented by Uniti. The event will take place Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at Haven in downtown Birmingham.

Unleashed is WFA’s presenting annual fundraiser and celebration of women’s power in Alabama. Traditionally known for its keynote stage, this year’s event has been reimagined into an immersive evening. Guests will explore interactive, mission-themed spaces that bring WFA’s three pillars—research, policy advocacy, and grantmaking—to life before gathering for the signature program featuring a keynote conversation with Felix.

Felix’s presence continues Unleashed’s tradition of spotlighting nationally recognized champions for gender equity such as Academy Award-winning actress Regina King, Global Health Corps co-founder Barbara Pierce Bush, and Emmy Award-winning CBS journalist Michelle Miller.

This year’s event also marks the official debut of Kimberly L. Jackson, WFA’s new President & CEO, who joined in June 2025. “Unleashed is an open invitation to every person who believes in the power of women,” said Jackson. “We’re excited to celebrate our shared achievements and to chart the next chapter of opportunity for women across Alabama.”

Funds raised at Unleashed fuel WFA’s research, policy advocacy, and grantmaking, which have already invested more than $11 million in 67 counties.
