BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The city of Birmingham and Birmingham Region Health Partnership have launched the Good Jobs Birmingham Healthcare Recruitment Campaign and accompanying employment website.
The campaign, launched in October, is the result of a grant awarded as part of the American Rescue Plan’s Good Jobs Challenge to build a pipeline of skilled healthcare workers.
The Birmingham Region Health Partnership consists of Central Six AlabamaWorks!, Prosper Birmingham, STRIVE Birmingham, UAB, the Women’s Foundation of Alabama and more. Those organizations work to provide training and offer career pathways alongside the area’s healthcare employers.
Those looking for jobs in the healthcare industry are encouraged to visit the new website and apply. The goal of the campaign is to ultimately employ a 1,000 people in critical positions within the healthcare sector. Specifically, the campaign is focused on marginalized communities who have historically been excluded from opportunities within the industry.
