A Letter from Our President & CEO
Kimberly L. Jackson
Dear Friends and Partners of the Women’s Foundation of Alabama,
Since officially stepping into the role of President and CEO at the Foundation on June 16, 2025, I have spent the past few weeks listening intently, learning deeply, and reflecting on the remarkable momentum this Foundation has built with each of you. I want to thank you sincerely for the warm welcome and support you’ve extended to me during this early chapter. Every conversation had, note written, flower sent, and shared story has underscored the strength of this community and the depth of your investment in our shared mission.
As I continue to meet with our staff, board, donors, grantees, and partners, I am focused on ensuring we are forging meaningful, measurable change grounded in the realities of Alabama’s women and families. That’s why, beginning early fall, I will be embarking on a statewide listening tour to engage directly with leaders, advocates, and community voices who are helping to define what equity must look like in Alabama. It’s important to me that our work reflects not just where we’ve been, but where we’re going. Together, we will ensure the Foundation’s next chapter is grounded in equity and driven by data.
There is meaningful work ahead. I look forward to sharing more with you soon about how you can ensure you continue to see your values, your investment, and your voice reflected in the work of the Women’s Foundation of Alabama.
With gratitude,
Kimberly L. Jackson
