A Letter from Incoming President & CEO
Kimberly L. Jackson
Alabama is home, and this mission is vital to Alabama.
It is the honor of a lifetime to serve as the next President and CEO of the Women’s Foundation of Alabama. As a daughter of this state and a mother raising the next generation here in Alabama, I have seen both the strength of our communities and the barriers that too often stand in the way of women’s progress. That is what makes this moment not just professionally rewarding but deeply personal.
When we look across our great state, we see the many faces of women building businesses, caring for their families, and navigating their careers. They deserve support that meets them where they are. Together, we have a powerful opportunity to build on the Foundation’s strong legacy by continuing to shape policy, influence philanthropy, and deliver economic strategies that provide the support the women in this state deserve.
Although I won’t officially begin until June 16, I have already started listening, learning, and planning. Throughout my career, I have advocated for women, speaking up for other women when they were not in certain spaces. I have worked at the intersection of corporate business strategy, philanthropic strategy, and community impact, helping organizations align bold vision with execution. I know what happens when women lead, and I bring that perspective with me into this next chapter at the Foundation.
You can expect thoughtful leadership, respect for the tremendous work that has laid our foundation, and an unyielding commitment to advance the women and families across our state who are counting on what we do next.
I am ready to get to work, partnering with communities, investing in real solutions, and making sure progress in Alabama is not just promised, but truly felt by everyone who calls Alabama home.
With gratitude,
Kimberly L. Jackson
