The Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham will again honor some of Birmingham’s most innovative and accomplished women at
on Thursday, October 12 at Iron City. The group of 10 Smart Honorees and one “Next Generation” honoree represent a variety of sectors including medicine, law, publishing, and nonprofit. This is the first year to include a “Next Generation” category for current students (high school or college).
“Our goal for Smart Party is to celebrate women who have accomplished amazing things with the opportunities they’ve been given while raising money to open doors for other women to succeed,” said Jeanne Jackson, President/CEO of The Women’s Fund.

Smart Party is The Women’s Fund’s annual fundraiser. All proceeds from the event will fund programs that provide women with supports they need to move beyond poverty, including post-secondary education, job skills training, career counseling, quality childcare, transportation, and safe housing.
