In April, The Women’s Fund will release our 2019 policy agenda and host our inaugural legislative day, and our Clearing the Path research is what guides it all. With the second lowest labor participation rate in the country and a shortage of 500,000 skilled workers predicted by 2025, Alabama can’t afford a workforce strategy that leaves anyone out. The Clearing the Path event and report, in conjunction with our advocacy work, seek to ensure that women are a targeted part of the solution to Alabama’s workforce challenges and more broadly as instrumental drivers of our state’s overall future prosperity.
